MetaProp is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on the real estate technology (“PropTech”) industry. Founded in 2015, MetaProp’s investment team has invested in 175+ technology companies across the real estate value chain. The firm manages multiple funds for both financial and strategic real estate investors that represent a pilot-and-test-ready sandbox of 20+ billion square feet across every real estate asset type and global market.

Join our Investment Team in a high-impact role that offers direct exposure to all aspects of venture capital. This position is ideal for current or recent graduate students or select exceptional undergraduates seeking to launch their VC career through hands-on experience in an environment that is dynamic, fast-paced, high-performance, and supportive.

We are a multi-strategy firm simultaneously deploying both early-stage and growth equity capital. While the title of this role is “Intern” you will be treated like any other member of the Investment Team, and given real responsibilities with visible and measurable impact on the firm and our portfolio companies. 

• Hybrid: we work in-office at least 3x per week (Tuesday through Thursday) in our NYC offices. While we will consider qualified candidates throughout the US, our preference is to have an NYC-based Intern who is available to work with us in person. 

• 20 to 40 hours per week

• Start: ASAP

• Duration: through May 2025 with possibility of extension 

• Compensation: $25 per hour (non-exempt)

• Investment Analysis & Due Diligence (40%)
  • Screen and evaluate inbound investment opportunities
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis
  • Create detailed industry landscape maps
  • Build and maintain financial models for early and growth-stage investments
  • Analyze key metrics, KPIs, and growth trajectories
  • Support valuation analysis and comparable company research
• Investment Team Operations & Management (30%)
  • Manage and optimize deal pipeline through our CRM system
  • Coordinate with founders and stakeholders
  • Document pitch meetings and Investment Committee discussions
  • Prepare investment memorandums and presentation materials
  • Track and report portfolio company performance
• Built World Market Intelligence & Research (20%)
  • Monitor relevant industry trends, news, and funding activities
  • Research emerging built world technologies and market opportunities
  • Support content creation for thought leadership initiatives
  • Maintain competitive intelligence database
• Ecosystem Development (10%)
  • Engage with accelerators, incubators, and investor networks
  • Support event planning and execution
  • Contribute to firm's digital presence and content strategy
