About MetaProp
MetaProp is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on the real estate technology (“PropTech”) industry. Founded in 2015, MetaProp’s investment team has invested in 175+ technology companies across the real estate value chain. The firm manages multiple funds for both financial and strategic real estate investors that represent a pilot-and-test-ready sandbox of 20+ billion square feet across every real estate asset type and global market.
Role Overview
MetaProp is seeking a highly motivated and execution-driven Capital Formation & Investor Relations executive to play a key role in our fundraising efforts. This role is designed for a full-stack fundraiser—someone who thrives on research, outreach, relationship-building, investor engagement, and process execution. You’ll be instrumental in attracting, qualifying, and closing investments from institutional LPs (pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, family offices, consultants, fund-of-funds) and high-net-worth individuals.
You will work closely with the General Partners, ensuring they spend their time on the most impactful investor interactions while you drive outreach, manage fundraising processes, and deepen LP relationships. Your ability to blend data-driven pipeline management with high-touch relationship-building will be critical to our success.
This is an opportunity to own and scale MetaProp’s fundraising efforts while working alongside experienced investors in venture capital, real estate, and innovation. If successful, this role can grow into a senior leadership position in fundraising or investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investor Research, Outreach & Relationship Development
Build and refine investor target lists, prioritizing based on strategic fit.
Conduct deep research on institutional LPs, their investment mandates, historical commitments, and decision-making processes.
Identify key decision-makers (CIOs, portfolio managers, investment analysts) and cultivate warm introductions through existing LPs, networks, and partners.
Own initial outreach to LPs via email, LinkedIn, and phone, securing introductory meetings for the GPs.
Maintain ongoing engagement with long-term prospects, ensuring consistent touchpoints even outside of active fundraising cycles.
Represent MetaProp at industry conferences, investor events, and networking functions to generate new relationships.
2. Fundraising Pipeline Management & Process Execution
Run fundraising campaigns from outreach to close, ensuring a structured and disciplined approach.
Manage CRM tools (Salesforce, Affinity, Dynamo, HubSpot) to track investor interactions, outreach progress, and next steps.
Maintain an organized and data-driven fundraising process, including weekly pipeline reviews, activity tracking, and reporting against KPIs.
Keep fundraising materials, investor decks, and data rooms up to date, personalized, and aligned with LP interests.
Coordinate LP due diligence, ensuring timely responses and a seamless experience for prospective investors.
Oversee subscription document execution, making sure all paperwork and closing steps are completed efficiently.
3. Investor Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up
Prepare detailed briefing notes ahead of investor meetings, ensuring GPs are fully informed on LP backgrounds and priorities.
Develop customized presentation materials and refine messaging for different investor audiences.
Draft and execute follow-up communications post-meetings, ensuring investors receive timely responses to their questions.
Maintain a Q&A tracker, ensuring consistency and clarity across all investor communications.
4. Institutional LP & HNW Engagement Strategy
Develop and execute targeted engagement strategies for institutional LPs, family offices, and HNW individuals.
Understand LP psychology—what motivates different investor types and how to tailor MetaProp’s value proposition accordingly.
Build long-term relationships by creating bespoke touchpoints, content, and events that deepen investor connections.
Monitor market trends, competitive fundraising activity, and LP capital deployment to inform fundraising strategies.
